Drown In It

Drown In It

A Poem by Rosi S. Phillips

Light reflects off the pool in dazzling brilliance

Tricking the mind into a complacent state

This dangerous beauty traps, lures, drowns

Beacons with such sweet promises

To forget, to get lost"never to be found

A cold hug, an even colder kiss

Till you have forgotten"have no desire to remember

And it wins"everything you are, everything that you can never be
