Gone From Me

Gone From Me

A Poem by Rosi S. Phillips
"

loss of a child

"

For seventeen weeks

It grew inside

Limbs and organs formed

Lost

S/he is lost

And I

Floating in the fluid it once did

Eating the food

S/he ate

Feeling

My flat stomach

Where S/he once lived

Not knowing, asking

If She or He

Was to be my son or daughter.
