Zephyrus

Zephyrus

A Poem by Matt

As I gaze at the black firmament tonight

I am bewitched and dazzled by the starlight
The sparkling stars remind me of thine eyes
Sweet tantalizing spheres that entice
The moon shineth brightly as it looketh down below

Such resplendence akin to thy countenance’s glow

And the cool breeze bloweth and toucheth my face

A caress so familiar of thy love and thy grace

I hear the wind whisper thy melodious name
Wafting thy heavenly scent, my comely dame
I hear thy voice as thou singest dulcet lullaby
Gentle Zephyr is thy courier; mine anguish it doth pacify
