Prussian Blue Tragedy

Prussian Blue Tragedy

A Poem by Matt

Oh cruel mistress, oh lugubrious sea
A recurrent picture of a Prussian blue tragedy
Howling... haunting...
The colossal tides raging
Blowing... Lashing...
A cold, murderous staging
Afloat in the violence of your glacial waters
Groaned and sighed
Aerated to the ruthlessness of your biting squalls
Petrified
Amidst the oppressive thrashing
Neath the wailing black welkin
Where the gemstones of the night won't come out from hiding
Wintry breath in the cadence of wild shuddering
Bleak, nostalgic tears in these jaded eyes now welling
Lost. Drained. Wrecked. Dying... Fading...

...I opened my eyes and I still am living.
