Rain

Rain

A Poem by A Keane Mind

Rain, rain

It drives you insane

Pounds on the windows

and rattles your brain

The sound haunts you

and seeps through your veins

settles in places

that you can't explain

Something is wrong

with the sound it creates

the laughter of sorrow

the tears of fine fate

Nothing to do

the confusion draws deep

can't say a word

or in it will seep

All alone

in the depth of you mind

where memories run rampant

and send chills up your spine

Scared of the future

terrified of the past

nothing can help you

time has gone by so fast

The chatter of voices

you recognize none

but the tones of their monologs

let you know you're the one

To feel happy or sad

In the good times of bad

To laugh or to cry

Depicts where you'll fly

Pick through the voices

Only listen to few

The rain will lead you to ruin

If you refuse to choose

Focus in

Keep your mind on the clock

Pull yourself out

Drip-drop, drip-drop

You do seem to have a very keen mind and there are less errors in this of your two peoms. I like the flow of this, it feels almost like an affirmation chant, so to speak. I like the last stanza's upbeat message. Focus is everything in life...it is true that it is our choice because we control our brains thoughts! A lot have forgotten this great human ability, but practicing what is best for us, makes a perfect thought become a lifestyle! Smiling at you, Tai, a friend of Jons who said look you up! Good to meet new blood in the cafe.

Powerful effect rain has on you. Personally, I love it, and if possible, go for walks during the storm, lightning or not. For some reason, to me rainstorms are philosophically stimulating. Great poem.
