Conquered

Conquered

A Poem by RM Creswell
"

I'm not sure where this one came from

"

He was unlike any other
Her eyes sparkled everytime he walked into the room
But she watched him from afar, unsure of how to approach him.
They passed everyday, but barely spoke; he had his friends and she had hers.
But then something changed, one day he took notice.
He saw the way her hair fell over her face
He saw past the facade, the mask she put up.
He held her hand and togeter they broke down her protective wall and for the first time she was exposed, real and raw.
With him by her side she felt she could conquer the world, because love had conquered her.

I agree with Liz. Sometimes the best writing -does- come from random writing. Usually an impulse of words can lead to the best material. Even if it is left to sit and come back to later. =]
I feel that perhaps if the sentences weren't left just as sentences written, it would have more of a profound effect. However, this is your poem and you know how it was intended to come out. =] This is full of potential!
Great work!

And sometimes the best work just comes from random writing.
