Refusing to subject yourself to painA Poem by R.M.C
I loved you with all my heart
And I put all my faith in you, But you hurt me and at the start I believed you when you told me... "I'm so sorry, please don't worry, It'll never happen again", But those were lies, surprise surprise, And you just kept inflicting pain... Now I can't take it anymore - You have went and torn us apart - So I'm getting up off the floor And standing on my own two feet. Hear me please wind, I can't pretend I'm not filled with hate; I beg you, Take me away, I just can't stay After everything I've been through. I'm afraid of going alone But I know staying would be worse, Not just due to the fits you're prone To but my lack of self respect. I know you will be surprised But Believe I've gone; this fight I've won.
