My reliefA Poem by R.M.C
'Twas typical British weather in the
Monotone known as the day to day; Overcast. the sky sketched of dark shades, Sunlight breaks through but never stays. The cold seeps through into my heart, slowly Turning it to ice, making my chest tight, But just before my end, I stumble Upon you - my warmth, my light... My relief.... You were a blossoming rose, stark red amidst the white; In a life of turmoil, you were all that was right.
