A longing heart

A longing heart

A Poem by R.M.C

I have many dreams of
A love my heart is longing
But never has it
Borne a face; now its your eyes
That stare at me, your
Lips that only whisper my name.

Author's Note

R.M.C
I heard about a form of poetry called a 'Tanka', which has five lines with syllable count 5,7,5,7,7, and this is my attempt - unfortunately, I've miss-counted on a line or two but I've left it as it is. I'll be sure to check the syllable count more carefully next time.
