Memory Hall (a nightmare)A Poem by R.M.CI walk down the
Hall, Ignoring the heads
on the walls; I look straight
ahead, Playing deaf to their
calls.
I shudder as
droplets of my soul Slowly leak from
my bloodshot eyes; I struggle to
breathe as my throat's Constricted from
my lies.
I start to run, Slowed by their
stares; I start
despairing, Plunged into the
dark from dying flares.
Every night I run
down this Memory Hall, Knowing I won’t wake if I should happen to stall. © 2016 R.M.CReviews
