A world without loved ones

A world without loved ones

A Poem by R.M.C

I envy the dead their peace in rest,

I despise my continued existence,

I cry over the ice under my chest,

God is silent, I hate his insistence.

He’s took everything from me

Except the one thing I wish to lose,

I desire to be set free

By whichever means I choose.

Surely this is a worse punishment than Hell,

Condemned to a life of misery and pain,

Surely our Lord fell

To be able to torture me so when there is nothing to gain.

With every grievance my heart lost a beat and now I’m dead,

God didn’t let me leave, he imprisoned me here instead.

my 2 cents..
and mostly because it is my style...

I like your direction here...
if imagery were added it
would enhance the emotions
you display here...
and really bring in the dark side
you are writing about...

I like it.
