How is it you came by this?

How is it you came by this?

A Poem by R.M.C

How is it that you came by this?

Such a delicate power in your tight grip,

Take care, destruction only takes one slip,

If it should happen to fall, a world will crash and burn.

Be gentle, hold the double edged knife tenderly,

Then your chosen one shall act the same in turn,

And revere the potential power of your key,

For it opens doors above and below.

How is it that you came by this?

You coaxed the craven out from behind the high walls

And held feasts in the long abandoned halls,

You breathed life into a castle long dead.

To keep the cold at bay, you need to keep the fires burning,

To keep the Lords pleased, you need to keep them fed,

To be kept true, there must always be yearning,

To sway disbelief, you must always be there.

How is it that you came by this?

Have you found a gate I managed to miss?

How is it that you came by this?

How is it you came by this? How did you manage to steal that which I've concealed?
