Teachings of loveA Poem by R.M.CI’ve read the books, I’ve watched as much, I’ve seen the loving
looks, Seen the intimacy of
touch. I thought I knew all, Thought I could
easily please you, I would cherish your
every call, Every smile and every
laugh too. I had a lot to learn And you were a great
teacher, Now I cradle your
urn, Now I listen to the
words of the preacher. This last teachings
too much, I’m shattered beneath, Hardened by loss,
crippled by grief. © 2016 R.M.CAuthor's Note
