Why, heck, Ross!
This is not the chapter of a book, it is a finely-struck poem.
Below, are shared suggestions you will surely note to make it a
virtual little masterpiece of smoother-flowing, romantic bliss, if
you'll not too much mind my proffered help … it's the teacher in me
that appears when I've discovered a ready work of sheer excellence:

I’ll turn time's hourglass upside down,
gift you life's key to the Labyrinth …
standing before me, in your innocent white gown,
I will vow those words, becoming your plinth.
You are bone of my bone,
flesh of my flesh;
in my heart you hold court on your throne …
our love, it will bring about need of a crèche.
We'll bask in our sacred institution;
no form of love will now be denied,
and through time-crafted infusion
of heart, mind and soul ~ as One, unified.
You are the greatest gift I could ever behold …
incarnate beauty of bliss, even when turned grey and old.

Ross, you do not know how pleased I am to find that you actually have poems I can read, appreciate, review, and critique for you, My Friend.
This one is as romantically filled with glorious, warm imagery as it gets … thank you so very much, Ross, for sharing this bountiful, heart touching work! ⁓ Richard
PS: Be sure to go back through your offerings and change, Chapter, Book, etc; to Poem, as each befits, so more poet readers will enjoy your skills.

I never thought much about putting the poem as a chapter of a book - I just wanted to connect it to the book its from - but I'll do as advised and change it to just a poem. And thank you a lot for taking the time to add your opinion on changes to make to improve the poem... I'm sure they're great and I'll consider them very carefully, especially coming from someone of such talent as yourself.
