An ode to the one I love

Ode to Thee 

Thou art comprehending and so acute,

Thy mind is open and astute.

An intellect of wise, captivating capacity!

Thou shalt be praised, by me, for thy splendid mentality!

 

A figure of such beauty and form, a gift!

The Gods sent and answered swift,

With a smile that deprives my soul of rest,

And eyes that stir and flood my chest.

 

Thy true colors shine so luminously!

Thy soul spins and skips vivaciously

In the vast orange skies of gorgeous dyes, of flying flame

Its purpose humbles me, aspiring to the same.

Author's Note

This was a poem that I wrote my ex-girlfriend about a month before we broke up. I don't want to lie and say that I am over, so I will admit that I still feel the same way about her now. Feel free to comment or critique!
