Dundalk High School Tuesday Morning

Nick just walked into the school to see Samantha sitting on one of the benches listening to her iPod, so he decided to walk over there and surprise her. He walked over, sat down, and pulled her right ear bud out of her ear. “Hey!” Samantha cried out.

            “Chill baby it’s just me.”

“Hey Nick!” Samantha said giving him a really tight hug and kiss on the cheek, “I’m so sorry for yesterday.”

“Its okay baby. I never should’ve come over when your parents weren’t there.”

            “Well…I never should’ve suggested it.”

“I refuse to have both of us want to take the blame and put both of us in a bad mood.”

            “Okay.”

“Do you want me to walk you to class?”

“Of course,” Samantha said as she grabbed Nick’s hand and they stood up together.

Samantha’s House Tuesday Night

Samantha was lying down on her bed doing her homework, when her dad came in and sat down on her bed, “Hey Sam.”

            “Hey Dad.”

“Sam…your mom is staying at your grandmother’s house for the rest of the week because she decided that she needs some time to think things though and think about what’s happened.”

            “Oh.”

“But for the meanwhile you can see Nick whenever you want. You have my permission.”

“Oh my gosh! Thanks so much dad!” Samantha screamed as she gave her dad a huge hug.

“Okay. Okay. I get it your thankful. Just finish your homework before you’re up all night doing it.”

“Okay. I’ll finish it. Thanks again Dad.”

“You’re welcome Sam,” Samantha’s dad said as he got off her bed and walked out of her room.

Samantha immediately picked up her phone and called Nick.

            “Hey baby! What’s up?”

“You’ll never guess what my dad just told me!”

“Ummm…I give up. What did he tell you?”

“Well my mom went to go live with my grandmother for the rest of the week because she decided that she had to think things over, and my dad said that since my mom is gone that I can see you whenever I want.”

            “Are you serious?”

“Of course I’m serious I wouldn’t joke about this kind of thing.”

            “That’s amazing!”

            “I know!”

“Well…I hate to leave you now, but I have to study for a history test tomorrow, so I’m gonna have to let you go.”

“Its okay. I still have to finish my homework too.”

            “See you tomorrow then.”

            “Okay dokey.”

            “I love you.”

“I love you too,” Samantha said and she hung up the phone.

I know it took me a while to update, but I've had a bit of a writers block with this book, but I finally handled it today. Let me know what you think. PLEASE REVIEW! I couldn't find a picture of a father takling to a daughter that I liked, so I used a pic of my dad :-)

A very good chapter. I must go back and read the rest. The conversation was casual and made the story seem real. A very good story.
