Sonnet One- Our Love

This was an English assignment. The requirements: 14 lined sonnet, Shakespeare rhyme skeme, any theme, school approtiate.

Three years ago I never would have thought you would be mine
but fate has its own plan
We had no idea our paths would have ever intertwined
I remember to this day how our love began
A random urge that turned into more
and I just wanted to talk to you again
I still had feelings that I could not ignore
Apparently you had the same feeling you could not contain
So on that fateful Saturday, what became our first date
We wanted to be combined as one
Our love could no longer wait
The fun had just begun
Close to eight months have gone by
Our love could never be denied

in the first line of the poem, "though" I believe it should have been "thought"
But other than that, this was beautiful
