Unfriendly Encounter

Samantha has an unfriendly encounter with an opposing team player.

Monday Night McDonald’s

 

            Nicks steps out of the car and walks around to the other side of the car to let Samantha out. “You know I can get out of the car myself right?” Samantha asked Nick as he opened the door for her.

            “I know, but it’s the gentlemanly thing to do.”

            “Thank you, but I don’t look much like a lady today,” Samantha said as she stepped out of the car.”

            “You might not look like a lady, but you deserve to be treated like one.”

            “Well thank you.” The young couple walked into McDonald’s hand-in-hand and when they reached the door Nick opened it for Samantha. “Again with the gentlemanly gestures,” Samantha responded to the gesture.

            “That’s what I’m here for!” They walked up to the counter and the ordered their meals. When they got their food they found a two-person booth and sat down. “You know I thought your game was going to be boring, but I was pleasantly surprised.

            “I’ll take that as a compliment.”

            “It totally was!” Nick said as Samantha noticed a couple of Pataspco softball players walked in still in their uniforms, and when the walked in they looked straight at Samantha. Nick noticed Samantha look up and he asked “What’s wrong?”

            “Oh nothing. It’s just that a couple of Pataspco players just walked in.”

            “Do you want to leave?”

            “No. I’m sure things will be fine.”

            “Okay. If that’s what you want to do.” Nick and Samantha finished their meals within the next few minutes and they left hand-in-hand. Samantha noticed the Pataspco players leaving after them and the followed the couple to Nick’s car.

            “Hi,” one of the players said to Samantha.

            “Hello.”

            “That was a really nice hit you had,” the player said.

            “Thank you. You guys played a really nice game today.”

            “Thank you. You did too and good luck with the rest of your season.”

            “Thank you,” Samantha said and the opposing players walked away.

            “They had me worried for a minute there,” Nick said as he started the car.

            “Yeah same here.”

           

Monday Night Regal Movies Ten

 

            Nick parked his car and again got out and opened Samantha’s door for her. “You know I’m not even going to argue with you anymore.”

            “Thank you. I appreciate that.” Again they walked into the movie theater hand-in-hand, and as the waited in line they discussed what movie they were going to see.

            “What about Friday the 13^th?” Samantha asked.

            “But you know I hate horror movies,” Nick responded whining.

            “Okay then how about Year One?”

            “Do you want to see Friday the 13th?”

            “Yeah kinda,” Samantha replied.

            “Then were seeing Friday the 13^th?”

            “Are you sure?”

            “Yes. I’m positive!”

            “Thank you,” Samantha said giving Nick a kiss on the cheek.

 

Monday Night Dundalk High School Jock Lot

 

            Samantha leaned over the center console and gave Nick a passionate kiss. “See you tomorrow. Text me later,” Samantha said to Nick as she got out of the car.

            “I certainly will,” Nick responded and drove home. Samantha walked over to her car and hit the “Unlock” button on her key. Then someone came out of the darkness and punched Samantha in the nose so hard that it knocked her unconscious.
