First Date

First Date

A Chapter by Becca*Type2012
"

Nick and Samantha go on their first date together. What will be revealed?

"

Nick walked into his bedroom and decided to look through the cell phone to get any idea who the girl that he danced with was. The first thing he decided to do was look through her contacts and to his surprise he found a number labeled home and hit the “SEND” button on the phone. He quickly put the phone at his ear ring... ring. Then a woman picked up the phone on the other end and said “Schreiber’s residence. This is Samantha speaking.” and Nick quickly hit the “END” button on the phone and thought to himself “I danced with Samantha Schrieber.”

Samantha’s House Saturday Night

Samantha picked up the book that she was reading before she picked up the phone. Then, Samantha’s mother came into her room and said “Lights out!” and turned off the lights. Samantha managed to find her book mark on her night stand. She set the book on the table and rolled over in bed thinking to herself “I danced with Nick Wiley.”

Dundalk High School Monday Afternoon

Nick was waited outside the gym entrance waiting for Samantha to come out and head home. As if on cue Samantha walks out wearing a tank top and basketball shorts (since her softball practice just ended) and carrying her backpack in her right hand. Nick approached Samantha and says “Hi.”

Samantha responds by saying “Oh, Hi Nick.”

“Here’s you cell phone.”

“Thanks I was going to ask for it this morning before school, but I couldn’t find you.”

“Yeah. I kinda overslept this morning, so I came late.”

“Oh.”

“About the dance...I had a really nice time dancing with you, and I want to ask you out to dinner Friday Night.”

Samantha looked shocked at Nick.

“Our parents don’t need to know. We just have to watch who we tell and keep it on the DL.”

“Okay. Dinner Friday night. What’s your number?”

“I already programmed it into your phone. What’s yours?” Nick asked as he took his phone out of his pocket.

“443-648-7109.”

“Thanks. I’ll text you later.”

“Bye,” Samantha said as Nick gave her a hug and put his lips to her and shared another passionate kiss.

Friday Night Red Lobster

Nick had texted Samantha earlier to tell her to meet him at the Red Lobster in White Marsh. Samantha had parked her car and walked into the front door (wearing a blue ruffled tank top with gray dress pants and silver heels) to see a smiling Nick (wearing black dress pants and a red dress shirt). She walked over to him and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and stood next to him and the hostess said “Wiley party of two. Wiley party of two.” The couple identified themselves and they were led to their table.

Once seated Nick said to Samantha “You look very beautiful tonight.”

“Thank you. You don’t look you bad yourself.”

“Thanks.”

“How did you get out of the house?”

“I told them I was going to a party. How’d you get out?”

“I told them I was going out to dinner with a couple of friends.” The waitress came and they ordered drinks and their meals.

“I know I probably already told you this, but I had an awesome time at the dance, and... I don’t know... I shared a connection with you when we kissed.”

“I felt...the...same...thing.”
