Blood Filled Tear

Blood Filled Tear

A Poem by Ria Carol
"

Humiliation is something that everyone feels some day or the other...

"

Humiliation prevails,
through the mournful prayers.
Hidden beneath the scars,
and the shame above it all.

Freezing behind the walls,
scared for the mighty fall.
An unending river of pain,
for as long as forever stays.

Meeting the break of dawn,
with a song filled with forlorn.
Masking the blood-filled tear,
leaving the world unfulfilled.

This is true. Someone told me never to humiliate anyone or think that humiliation solves anything because if it does anything it breaks you and it can twist people. Sometimes it breaks us, sometimes it twists us into monsters, and other times it shames us. Emotional piece, and it got me thoughtful. Thanks for sharing with us.

Geez, I have experienced so much humiliation in my life to the point that I avoid creating a reputation... However, it's inevitable. I love the dark emotions in this poem, as everyone can relate to the message. Though, I'd rather die on my feet than succumb to that self-hatred. Very nice!

Thank you so much
I understand this message . . . I feel humiliation comes from our ego-interpretation of how life was supposed to go. Once we get over the fact that life usually turns out quite differently than our plans, then we can move ahead from humiliation to acceptance. You have expressed the literal physical "sting" of being humiliated, using powerful metaphors to create clarity & imagery.

but the meek shall one day inherit the earth, right?

and those who have put others down...will find their place at the bottom when all is said and done...

a very well expressed piece....we need more humility in the world, not humiliation.
