The bird who sings at dawn

The bird who sings at dawn

A Poem by Ria Carol
"

Poet describes about a bird who had strange perspectives about this world... Read in between the lines if you wish to understand what is truly being said here...

"

Listen up one and all,
about this merry dream of mine.
Where the bird that sings at dawn,
is the bird that surely dies.

In vain and agony it cries out loud
"oh why? oh god, oh why?"
Where the sinner and saint
is the reason, behind my pitiful cry.

With the wings of glory perched on my back
Why do I fly so low?
With the tinted melancholic voice
Why do I sing so slow?

Who dares to answers these,
Riddles one and two?
To him I shall say,
"I will set you free".

I do have to say I have asked the same question, "why" and to this day, I dont have that answer. I like those lines the best, thank you for writing this.

Thank you...that one question haunts me too:)
I'm no good at riddles, so no ideas are coming to mind. I don't understand "sinner and saint" reason for "pitiful cry", nor can I guess answers to 2 questions in 3rd stanza. I notice between the two poems of yours I've read in a row here, you ask "Why oh why?" repeatedly in both. I have to honestly tell you, this poem doesn't really pique my curiosity to dig deeper. My favorite line is "wings of glory perched on my back" -- very well-crafted imagery there. I guess I won't be set free!
