Today, tomorrow and forever

Not knowing where the time went, the poet recalls the memories of the time she spent with the love of her life.

"Today, tomorrow and forever", said he

where the time went I will never know.

Only yesterday we were sitting on the bay,

of the great blue sea.

A promise made from the soul,

and a ring to tie the hearts.

Two hearts that came together amongst despair,

and created love.

Encapsulated in the darkness,

he lit my way.

Brighter he made it,

day by day.

Doomed to love,

I look above.

"Today, tomorrow and forever", I say

I will love you,

Till the end of my days.

I have dedicated this to someone very special ...hopefully the person appreciates it :)

It looks like the speaker/poet is sitting somewhere, in a place where she recalls her memories of love, there is a mesmerizing feel in it and it also makes the reader feel the absence the Poet's lover.... That is a lovely poem. Simple- as it looks- but carries a deep meaning and expresses emotions quite well. Time is cruel. It takes away all those people from you whom you wish to stay with you forever. The rhyming is likable- at the places where you have rhymed. Keep writing.
