I wrote this when i was like 9, so pardon the cheesyness

Its moments like these when you have nothing left

Moments like these when nothing lasts

Moments like these when everything fades

Its moments like these that make you fall

Fall down on your face and cry

Fall down on your hands and knees

Its moments like these that remind you of before

Before the disfigurement

Before you had to choose...

Up until I hit the last part of this, I had thought it another love poem. Very unique twist, and very impressive for a 9 year old. I have read poems from much older and much more experienced writers who do not have this kind of insight. All in all, a really lovely if somewhat sad piece, very thought and emotion-provoking.

Second to last stanza, you chose the word disfigurement.. Interesting... It adds a certain edge to the poem, making me stop and wonder what this piece was actually about. You wrote this at 9? Impressive, I still can't write poetry:) Great work!
