The last Word

The last Word

A Poem by Lenah Mehzabin

Never did I ever claimed

I let you go there, in the most far place

Every word you said

Silently I drunk ..all of them

But just like everyone else

You wanted me to be the full time princess

Of a fairytale

Indeed

When you knew I was nothing but a dark angel

Complain?

No, I won’t

Because “I” misread your heart

You desired for a diamond jar

And I kept thinking you accepted me

The twilight girl, behind the golds

I was covered with..

Sick me!

Sorry, that I forgot reality sucks

Sorry, I let my hard shell fall

Let you in

You saw everything

How I selflessly loved you

Endless battle I kept fighting

Still,

It wasn’t enough

It wasn’t enough to satisfy your selfish thirst

I never mind

But in the last phase

where you were suppose to be there for me

You simply weren’t

Than who were you?

What you really did?

Nothing,

Ever..

There is a thin difference between what we want and what we need

You are running for the “ Want” now

But the Final words I will ever say

“to you”

Never come back

Because I know you will

Just to take the “Need” you left..

Poor-Desperation never let the heart live peacefully nor even allow the spirit to be around ecstasy.

Very strong words you use to touch the heart. Nice flow of ink that I drink/the emotions/value of faith/heartaches/broken-heart/wounded-soul/tears rolled down your face.. everything is well occupied at the right place.. at the right time... isn't it? Of course, it is.

... heading on to check out your poetry-leaf.. in a day!

That thin line between love and hate. That thin line between anger and hurt... or both. And confusion. I know it all too well. This is such a great poem. Such a great way to explain how selfish people can be without sometimes even realizing when it comes to love. Love can be the best thing in the world, and the most devastating. But this, this is a wonderful poem. Props to you for knowing your heart and what's best.

Oh my god, sometimes the people we love can become so cruel...Thank you, thank you for expressing some feelings in such a wonderfully depressed/beautifully angry way.Thank you.

Well where to begin with this well written piece? What about my favorite lines? Too many to choose from...

There is thin difference between what we want and what we need..or when you knew I was nothing more than a dark angel

Maybe it was perfect ribbon at the end that tied everything neatly..

This was sheer perfection from beginning to end

I like the want and the need in the poem.

The above lines were perfect. You gave resistance and need in the same paragraph. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Thank you so much ! u really understood the summery . :)
Love it throughout and the ending has a great punch; flows lovely throughout and forget about the wonderful metaphors; you are a talent to be reckoned with young lady. Beautiful. Bravo, great writing and don't think I have to say, keep writing. I looked for alive; only through page 2. White Wolf, is the only other close to love poem I have. I hope you read it; I'll definitely keep reading yours. Great talent. Loved it again. Thank you.
