Alone in the night

Alone in the night

A Poem by Richard Dolevin
"

This is the first poem I've written since I've picked up the pen again, so excuse me if I'm a little rusty. This is a look into my life, as is all of my work, and I hope you enjoy it!

"
As the young lad walks the streets tonight
He speaks into the cold and lonely air,
But there is no one around to hear him,
Only darkness swallowing all of the light.

The rain shields the tears on his face
And the gusts of wind drown out his cries.
He thinks to himself, "Where am I going?"
Because he never felt he fit in, in any place

He looks to his phone, hoping for a call
But alas, not a single call or message sent;
Though he sent out many to others he knew,
It's always as if he is talking to a wall.

He decides maybe he'll give it one more try
And types his final words to them, "Goodbye"
