Love is an addiction and it has all of the power.

Why must I be punished

For the mistakes you make?

You give me the drug, get me addicted

And then you take, take, take.

 

Withdrawal isn’t pretty

My skin aches to be kissed

But the only thing that can cure me now

Short, deep and majestically thoughtful.
Love's itself one addiction - "One Drug" to its vibes that bring pleasure to body - to real nice warmed skin, but it's not long lasting, it's capricious that goes changed with time & has potential to .. or may be, not to put heart on mend, once it's shattered in pieces. The metaphor in your poetry is seemed to be quite ached who expressing how it feels & what it just takes to be fallen in love ... nice flow of ink. Would be looking forward to reading you!
