PainA Poem by Robbie ChurchillWhy am I blind
When you are near Please take my hand Remove my fear I am so lost Nowhere to go And at what cost My terror grows I'm falling towards My casualty No wings to grasp A hold of me What can I do To relieve this pain That's holding on To everything It's in my heart An imprisoned view Of a life with me But without you No way to heal A heart that's torn For what I've felt Has been reborn My soul's been sheared By brittle hands I'll disappear With no feet to stand Only the night The darkness around Can know my fright In which I've drowned I've been battered And bruised I've been Body left in tatters With no hope within © 2015 Robbie ChurchillReviews
