Chapter 12

(The next day)
Artemis is the first one to wake up
She goes in the kitchen and starts to make breakfast
The smell of it wakes everybody up
Noble walks into the kitchen
Noble: What you cookin’ good lookin’?
Artemis laughs
Artemis: Just some eggs, bacon, pancakes and toast for everyone.
Noble: Look at you, a regular Bobby Flay.
Artemis: Awwwww.
The others eventually wake up and go into the kitchen
Juno: Smells like the good old days.
Minerva: Yeah.
Noble: Hey Allie could you provide overwatch for me and Britt later? I gotta take her to the hospital to make sure her and the baby are alright.
Minerva: Sure no problem.
They eat breakfast
Afterwards Noble, Minerva and Athena get dressed and start their trip to the hospital
Minerva hops across the rooftop while she watches Noble and Athena in the street
(10 minutes later)
They reach the hospital and Minerva sits on a nearby rooftop
Noble and Athena go into a doctor’s office while Minerva remains on the rooftops
Minerva communicates with Noble through their earpieces
Minerva: Alright you’re clear.
Noble: Ok keep a lookout.
Minerva: Will do.
Noble and Athena sit a doctor’s office waiting for him to show up
The doctor finally shows up
Doctor: Ok Mr. and Ms. Hunter what brings you to my office today?
Minerva (Over Earpiece): Hunter? (Laughs)
Noble: My wife here, she’s been pregnant for over seven months and we just want to make sure everything is going well with the baby.
Doctor: Alright, well we’ll have to perform some tests and whatnot to make sure it’s healthy.
Athena: Alright.
Doctor: Ok follow me into the sonogram room.
Athena: No problem.
They leave the office and head to the room
Minerva informs Noble they’re still safe.
Minerva unzips her leather jacket and sits down
She looks up at the sky and wonders about the coming future
Noble and Athena start performing a sonogram on her womb
They find they baby is healthy and doing well so far
Noble is relieved
The doctor advises them not do any more strenuous activities
Noble agrees
They then perform a blood test to make sure nothing is wrong with Athena
They doctor sends them out of the room and they wait for their results
Noble: Whatever happens from here on in I love you.
Athena: I love you too.
Several minutes later the doctor comes back with the blood results
Doctor: Ok I have them and she is a very healthy woman. She tests negative for any kind of diseases.
Noble: Oh thank God.
Doctor: So like I said take it easy on the activities and she’ll be fine.
Athena: Noted.
They leave the hospital and Noble talks to Minerva
Noble: Allie, we clear?
Minerva: Yes you’re free to move.
Noble: Alright see you back at the Hotel.
Minerva: Copy that.
Minerva zips her jacket back up and hops back across the roof
Noble: I would say lets race her back but I don’t want to risk it.
Athena: It’s fine. Remember, we do have a Sam Fisher walking pace.
Noble: True. Alright lets Sam Fisher Allie back home.
Athena: Alright.
Noble and Athena start to increase their walking pace and move through crowds
Noble: A regular Altair I see.
Athena: (Laughs) Speak to me or speak to God!
Noble: (Laughs) I love that line.
Athena: I know.
After several minutes they reach the Hotel
They take the elevator up to the top floor
They find Minerva hasn’t gotten home yet
Noble: Where’s Allie?
Minerva just comes in from the balcony
Noble: Holy s**t! We just Sam Fisher’d your a*s back here.
Minerva: Shut up! The gaps between the rooftops started to get wider.
Athena: Yeah ok.
Minerva: Seriously.
Noble: We believe you.
Minerva: Anyway how did the tests go?
Noble: Pretty good she’s as healthy as can be and so is the baby.
Minerva: That’s good.
Noble: Of course we can’t go back and fight due to risk of miscarriage.
Minerva: I see.
Noble: So we’ll just have to wait until it’s born to put our plans into full swing.
Minerva: Alright.
