Chapter 8

Noble wakes up moments later tied up to a chair
He sees Athena still knocked out
Noble: (whispers) Athena, wake up.
She still remains unconscious
A man appears from a corner of their room
He walks out to meet Noble
Unknown Man: Well well well.
Noble: Who the f**k are you?
Unknown Man: Let’s just say I’m an associate of somebody’s.
Noble: And that associate would be?
Unknown Man: When the time comes you will know.
The man steps closer to Athena
He holds a knife to her
Noble: Don’t you f*****g touch her!
Athena wakes up
Athena looks at the man
Athena: What the f**k!?
The man licks Athena’s cheek
Noble’s hands start to shake from anger
The man caresses Athena’s hair
He raises his knife into the air
A tear rolls down Athena’s cheek
She stares at Noble
Then she closes her eyes
Suddenly Noble breaks free and engages the man in combat
Noble storms the man and he drops his knife in the process. He tackles him to the ground. Noble breaks the man’s arm. The man screams in pain. Then Noble proceeds to repeatedly hammer the man’s head into the ground. Noble then picks up the man’s knife and raises his hand into the air.
Athena: Stop!
Noble: Why!? He could have f*****g killed you and me, or have done unspeakable things to you!
Noble: No this f****r deserves to die!
Noble brings the knife down into the man’s throat and repeatedly stabs him in the throat. On Noble’s last stab, he twists the knife inside the man’s throat.
With blood splattered on his face he walks over to Athena and cuts her free
Noble: Let’s get the f**k out of here.
Athena: Wait, what about the target?
Noble: I presume he was the target so we’re done here.
Athena walks up to Noble and hugs him
Noble still full of anger hugs her while his hands are still shaking
Noble and Athena exit the room they were held in and starts to looks for their equipment
They start walking down a hallway and find an armory room
They walk into it and start looking for their guns
They find them
Two guards walk in and find Noble and Athena
Noble and Athena look up
Noble charges the two guards and starts to fight them. Noble breaks one of the guard’s legs and snaps the other ones neck.
Noble: Here put these on.
Noble knocks out the guard with the snapped leg
He then throws Athena one of the guard’s uniforms
Athena: Uh, there’s a problem.
Noble: What?
Athena: What am I going to do about my breast?
Noble: S**t you’re right.
Noble: Uh you got any tape or any kind of rope?
Athena: I have a rope.
Noble: Alright, I hate to ask this of you but tie the rope around your breast to make your chest flat.
Athena: Alright.
Noble: If it hurts after a while, I’m sorry.
Noble wipes the blood from his face then kisses Athena
After the kiss, Athena wraps the rope around her chest and puts on the enemy uniform
Noble and Athena walk out of the armory room and proceed out of the complex
They successfully get out of the complex without a hitch
(Shift over to Juno’s squad)
Artemis and Minerva proceed inside their targets complex
Juno: Ok, once you’re in I can’t provide overwatch inside, copy?
Artemis: Gotcha.
Minerva: No problem we’ll be right back in 5 minutes anyway.
Artemis and Minerva proceed deeper into the enemy complex
Artemis: Oh s**t.
Artemis sprints at a guard and punches him in the face. He retaliates and comes back with a right hook. Artemis dodges it and delivers a quick punch to the liver, ribs, neck and head. The guard falls down dead.
Minerva: Holy s**t.
Artemis: What?
Minerva: That was badass.
Artemis cracks her wrists and fingers
Minerva: Now I know why you’re Callsign is Artemis.
Artemis: How so?
Minerva: In Greek mythology, she taught man how to hunt and was pretty furious when she fought people.
Artemis: I see.
They move on to their targets position and prepare to enter
Minerva shakes her head to enter the room
They enter the room and find nothing
Someone approaches behind Artemis and Minerva. The person grabs Artemis, disarms her and holds her in a minor chokehold. Minerva quickly turns around and faces the person. Minerva sees the person is a woman. Artemis elbows the woman in her ribs and escapes. Then Minerva quickly delivers a punch to the woman’s stomach, chest and head. The woman falls unconscious to the floor.
Artemis: She has to be the reason why we’re here.
Minerva: I guess let’s grab her and get out of here.
Minerva picks up the woman and she and Artemis exit the building
Artemis: Cyara, we got a package cover us.
Juno: Gotcha.
Juno proceeds to keep watch through her scope
Juno: F**k it.
Juno shoots a guard and sets off an alarm
Juno: GO! Keep running!
Artemis and Minerva start sprinting. The alerted guards start to fire upon Artemis and Minerva. Artemis gets hit by a bullet. She falls but gets back up. She shakes off the pain. Juno then proceeds to kill the enemies chasing Artemis. Minerva reaches the exit in the facilities fence. She meets Juno by the exit. Artemis slowly losing her breath tosses a smoke grenade behind her to distract the guards. Her distraction works and she is able to reach the exit.
Juno: Oh my god, Charlene you’re hit!
Artemis: I know. It went in and out nothing to worry about.
They escape and make their way back to the house.
(Shift back to Noble and Athena)
They take off the enemy guard uniforms and toss them in a river
Athena unwraps the rope from her chest
She the loosely wraps the rope around her waist
They proceed on route back to the hideout
Noble: How are you holding up?
Athena: Pretty good
Noble: You sure?
Athena: Yeah.
Noble: Alright.
They reach their hideout and they find Juno, Artemis and Minerva there
Noble sees Minerva tying a bandage around Artemis’s waist
Noble: What happened to you!
Artemis: Me and Allison were ambushed.
Noble: You too?
Juno: What do you mean “you too”?
Noble: Me and Brittany were knocked out and some man was about to kill her.
Juno: What!
Noble: Yeah, he was going to slit her throat open.
Noble clenches his fists
Minerva: I presume he’s dead?
Noble shakes his head yes
Juno: Well we’ll get some answers tomorrow from a woman Charlene and Allison captured.
Noble: A woman for me? I’m touched.
Athena laughs and nudges Noble
Artemis, Juno and Minerva laugh also
Noble: I’m gonna wait till the morning to confirm our success.
Juno: Why?
Noble: I have my reasons.
Juno. Alright.
