Sonnet 6

This is my personal favorite so far

Baffled I am by what has happened since

The day that I first knew that I loved her.

Right now I fear that I would have to rinse

Another broken heart. But I prefer

This happen than a friend be a traitor,

Like what happened before with that a*****e

With which, twice over, it made my heart sore

And threatened to make it nevermore whole.

Now I’m getting closer to acceptance

But that does not mean that I’ll surrender.

For now I will leave my fate up to chance

I’ll be willing to wait for forever;

Love is something that will never die ‘til

Hell freezes over and the world stands still.
