Squealy the Pig and The Room of Toys

By Ryan Austin Fernandez

One day in the room of Squealy the Pig

She had many toys, small and big

She had a slide, a toy car and more

She played with them all day, from six to four.

One day, from the bottom floor

Two other characters knocked on the door

These were Slithery the Snake and Sunny the Bear

About Squealy’s feelings, they did not care

Squealy knew what was coming and locked the door

But Sunny and Slithery just knocked some more

Until the door finally sprang about

And Sunny and Slithery let out a shout

They charged in the room, along with the other boys

Like Bouncy, Trouncy, and Pouncy, the Chew Toys

And we shall not forget, Speedy the Car

Whose wheels can race, near and far

Squealy did not know what to do

Sunny and Slithery made Squealy go “boo-hoo”

And then a speck of hope, moved her sadness aside

As she saw a ball perched on the top of the slide

She shook the slide, the tables have turned

When the ball rolled down, the bad toys learned

That this ball was bigger than all of them

And they might be crushed like Crème de la Crème

And so it did, the ball rolled around

Sunny and Slithery ran round and round

They finally reached the frame of the door

Ran out, Straight out, return nevermore

However one day, while Squealy played with her toys

She heard a knock on the door by the boys

It wasn’t a mean knock, but a friendly one

So Squealy stood up and finally feared none

There they were, Sunny and Slithery

Along with Bouncy, Trouncy, Pouncy, and Speedy

They took a deep breath, and started to say

“Squealy, we’re sorry. I hope we’re all okay.”

Squealy nodded and with the kindness of her heart

Let the boys in her room, which they became a part

From then on, they were all good friends

They lived happily ever after, as my story ends
