I poured my heart out in this one. Autumn, if you're reading this, know that you are my heaven and my bright center

Sonnet 11

O’ heaven, you have gone so far away.

With you I stayed from sunrise to sunset,

But now your gates are closed and still I stay

Marveling at your beauty with eyes wet.

Our brief time together, I wish I could

Flee to those days when smiles were all around.

Now without you, I should have understood

That mortals’ should merely stay on the ground.

Still, I’ll look at beauty everlasting

And I'm hoping one day in my short life

To return to you, never forgetting

How your mere presence removes all my strife.

Heaven, when you see this, look in your heart,

And know you make my life a work of art.
