I Sijo

I Sijo

A Poem by Haibar Zair
"

This is the modern form of a Korean poetry format

"
How does it feel, when someone sings your song?
He never stole those words. He wrote them all
The melody you found, those lyrics half formed
The heart that broke, the tears that came on
Now they come again as I hear my tune
Far from my window as he sings his song…

Author's Note

Haibar Zair
Normally, Sijo is a three lined poem with specific syllables in each line. The modern format breaks it up in six lines, with further distribution of syllables. The poem is not supposed to be rhyming but should have a sing song quality to it

Aye ! =P
