Redemption

As I sit at my window, a thought crosses my mind.

Is redemption actually recievable? Can you right a wrong? Can you atone for a past sin?

Is it wrong to seek redemption? or are we just blessed with it when we are deemed worthy enough? And if its a case of proving yourself then how do you prove yourself worthy? And if its given then who hands it out?

Am I alone in thinking this? Am I the only one who is seeking it? Does an apoligy equall redemption? Or are we destined to pay for crimes of the past until our last breath? Or is it that when our apoligy is accepted that we are redeemed?

Is it right to want redemption?

Just a thought.

You ask some tough questions about something that many of us must ponder. Who among us has not done things we wished we hadn't? None, I suspect. Maybe after we've done all we can reasonably do to right a wrong, we should forgive ourselves. Maybe that would do it, but I'm not sure.
