The Immortal Girl

The Immortal Girl

A Poem by Louise Smith
"

A short poem I wrote for a story when I was thinking about immortal people.

"

She was always there.

They had no idea what her name was. They had no idea who she was.

All they knew is that she had been there for a very long time. Longer than anyone could.

Was she breathing? Was she eating? Was she sleeping?

As far as they knew, no.

This was the enternal misery of the immortals.

very thought-provoking poem. i wonder what it would be like to be immortal. however there is always a downside to immortality and that would be seeing your loved ones die. great job.
