Well to answer your question, I'm not sure. The first things that came to my mind upon reading were, 'hmmm that's a little unusual, kinda weird' and 'I like it'. I don't necessarily know if that tells you anything or is the kind of thing you were looking for with 'specific feelings or associations'.
I usually gravitate towards shorter writes but it does take a certain amount of intention and skill to say something in a shorter format. This was very concise and yet I feel like it can have more than one interpretation. I can definitely get the homesickness feeling but there's also a little bit of imposter syndrome and feeling out of place in there for me too.
