A Message to My Future Love

Yesterday my life was mine,

Today my life is yours.

So here's to you,

The future fortune my life does store.

Never will I love a person more,

And forth from craddle whatever raised,

Truth will I show you

To ease our pains.

So from the ashes of these broken worldly woes,

A land of hope that all will know...

Author's Note

This poem was my first entry in a journal I started. From here I will read different texts from the philosophies of Plato to the Truths of the Buddhas and the tales of Christ. I will record my thoughts where I agree and where I conflict with the teachings so that one day I will be able to discuss them with my child.
