From Lambs to LionsA Poem by Sirajudin Matin
Still thy weep,
Oh brave little lamb. This Babel's cogs of covet crumble; The shepherds all sow in songs of hate, But tomorrow we are lions! Embrace me Beast, For I am Sin... And I am all Love's scorn! Loose thy tongue And rend of flesh my debts long overdue. Let solace fill what time does mend, And mesh of me a better man. Let ambition steel upon me, My hopes emerge from dream. For like the phoenix rising, Upon my shoulders rides the dawn. To turn from darkness The blind that lead, To forge from sorrows soon forgotten, A fearless free horizon. From which sweet children will dream. © 2011 Sirajudin MatinAuthor's Note
