Messenger in a bottle

Messenger in a bottle

A Poem by Sirajudin Matin

So said the letters,
As eyes caressed blank pages,
Inside their glass bottles…

For the message is strong,
But the momentum is dormant,
As composed by dreamers,
With melancholy smiles,
And tear soar eyes.

As they’ve tried to escape,
Escape the cruel progression of humanity,
And the distancing in its advancements,
Yet they fall short of bliss,
In the face of despair.
