A Heart Shaped Cage

A Heart Shaped Cage

A Poem by Sirajudin Matin

A raven in a heart shaped cage,
The pain of love left unspoken,
The pain of distance growing fonder,
But the cage remains the same,
Overstuffed, with tension building.

The cage now broken, yet the bird remains,
Cold and lifeless on the ground,
Love was taken to the grave.
