A Poem by Sirajudin Matin

So here is your depart,
This is where my shovel falls,
Our past half taken to your grave,
Your better days will stand in wake.

Trust my tongue,
I shall not whisper,
For fear of your disgrace,
Yet what you did was never right.

You’ve given me, insanity,
You’ve corrupted all my life,
For hate we did know,
But love is what I had for you…

You led me like a lantern,
You helped me through the dark,
For you’re whom I am based,
Learning by your mistakes.

It’s as though you’ve beaten me,
Your race was rather fast,
Entwined with all impurities,
Much need for one approval.

Your sorrow was one great story,
But untold is how you left it,
I want to know of my forgiveness,
But without you I have none.

I wish your ears…
Could here my confession,
For my admonishing never shined to bright,
But know this,
There was pride in you.
