Ashes of Some Forgotten PalaceA Poem by Sirajudin Matin
From the ashes of some forgotten palace,
Came the call of a siren, The youngest of birth, Whose beauty… Quite simple, Yet steady and strong. Found one simple pleasure" In pacing the land, A place with belonging, No steeple or grave. And past lay forgotten, As everyone dreams, We stand, both in silence, This temptress and I, I envy her stature, This seraph of mine. © 2011 Sirajudin Matin |
