Graduating

Graduating

A Poem by Caitlyn
"

I sent this to my senior friends last year when they graduated, I was just a freshman but they really looked out for me.

"

Here's to all the years of drama
And to all the laughter through the pain
You've still got 4 more years
With your sanity to maintain

You'll get mixed up in s**t
It's impossible to avoid
But take the bad with the good
Because the good times are enjoyed

While you make your way into the world
I'll be a few steps behind
Watching you and trying to learn
But being just as blind

So here's to the time we spent
And to when we grow apart
Just know I'm always here for you
You'll always stay in my heart

Here's to wanting peace, harmony, and a care free life
but getting the fights, inconsistency, and responsibility.
Remember to keep your head held high
and your expectations low,
To keep your head in the clouds
and your feet on the ground,
And to remember the good and the bad
while letting go of regrets.

This poem started off wonderfully. I really like the first 4 stanzas. It lost something on the last stanza. Kimi
