Evicted

Evicted

A Poem by Quinn Blackburn
"

Poetic therapy, my favorite after chocolate. This piece is what I think of as a Purge or Banishing, meant to help work free resentful or angry splinters from my heart and mind.

"

Be gone!

There is no warm welcome
waiting for you here.

No room, nor board,
nor sympathetic tear.

Get out!

I have given enough
time
energy
thought
and emotion
to you,
mere foam upon
the Furies brew.

Leave now!

The only value you ever had
you squandered long ago.

Your casual cruelty,
your delight in causing damage,
your endless lies,
petty manipulations,
Walmart materialism,
shallow narcisscism,
and conscienceless soul
have troubled my dreams
long enough.

Go Away!

Banished,
Reviled…
Like cancer,
I cut you free
from my healthy self,
digging deep in the shadows
to rip free your selfish roots.

Beat it!
Your free ride is over!

I want nothing from you,
and owe you even less.

Pack up your poisoned smiles,
and peddle your rotten apples elsewhere.

You have no power here!
Begone,

before somebody drops a house on you!

Yes cleans the dark with the light, and free your will to be bound no more in the night! The chains sure will fall busted and bent to freeing hands to self deliverance; to stand in shadow no more! I love this will call to overcome!

Great Write!

Tommy

Thank you! A friend of mine who works in nursing gave this poem to all of her cancer patients as a good focus to help keep them on a healing path. I think this piece works for a lot of situations... I know it helped me! lol So glad you enjoyed, Imagination101 :o) Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks OT I had a lot of fun with this one. I could feel the venom draining out with each line.
