When I Remember
When I remember of you,
I feel joy emanating in me,
A budding best friendship,
Adept rapport that’s lively.
You had fabricated neatly,
Any uncovered rusty steel,
To restored lustrous depth,
Renewing it in rich appeal.
Your expertise didn’t end,
At a torches beaded-weld,
You relished performance,
A throttle-bump propelled.
We laughed about racing,
Reminisced in our battles,
Contended on local tracks,
And atop our toys handles.
When I think in retrospect,
You did quicken our pace,
Pegging your robust motor,
Hooking me in a wild race.
Oh what great adventures,
Open countryside reveals,
Aboard rapid contraptions,
In forests and across fields.
You thrived from this fun,
Retooling your machines,
And certify those projects,
In some priceless routines.
Was it the purring rumble,
In your fine-tuned engine?
Or paint everything elixir,
Which your heart is akin?
It had too emerge flawless,
To enhance your affection,
Therein laid your purpose,
Of success with perfection.
Unselfishly you’d endorse,
Your niceness for another,
I proudly call you a friend,
My warm-hearted brother.
You’re one we’d count on,
To oblige those jobs done,
Your abilities would adapt,
The right course of action.
The distance you’d went,
Meant worlds to a friend,
By overcoming difficulty,
Labouring hard to its end.
If we met over our waters,
Passion beams inside you,
The outdoors sustained us,
Unity, time could not undo.
Our non-fading moments,
Nature provided us nearby,
Fishing upon swift waters,
Watching a star-filled sky.
Cheeriness you proclaim,
Yielded light in our eyes,
Your generosity gave us,
A heart that never denies.
To have such a friendship,
That doesn’t tax any price,
Acquired my deep respect,
Blessing me of life’s spice.
We’d converse and retell,
Summon a story together,
Always laden in laughter,
And titillating of pleasure.
Friends loving you deeply,
Knew of your ethical ways,
Rejoicing your comradery,
We’d transcend too amaze.
If we dealt up some cards,
Chuckle aloud in the night,
We’d cheer upward drinks,
Until morn shined daylight.
Those recalled memories,
Long etched in my mind,
Motivates my wide smile,
To how you were defined.
You’ve been taken away,
Tasked from us too soon,
I guess God needed you,
For duties you’re attune?
Distress your leaving left,
Was my recognition scars,
Of everything friends give,
Loving life and of fast cars.
We cannot of done better,
If a friendship was written,
In memories and thoughts,
Caressing our minds often.
Wishing you’re among us,
To hear your latest review,
Emotions keep impacting,
When I remember of you.
