I Was LovedA Poem by Quilled_PenmanA poem about family love and how love is forever.I Was Loved If tomorrow I am far gone, From the green earth I love, And above they are asking, What’s life really made of. Was it love for dear father, Or love I felt for my brother? Could it be love for a sister, Why not love of my mother? Everything and more I’d say, Because love has them beat, Horrible pain I’d remember, Life’s been entirely my treat. The father rock whom I love, Working yearly his very best, Calloused hands were caring, His love was virtue I’ll attest. The sisters that joyously hug, Their kids I love are my prize, Or just talking me up at night, To their heart’s immense size. The brother that recalls how, Those tech contraptions tick, I count on this honesty often, I love and his brain I’d pick, The mother’s psychic senses, How she knows you’re down, I’ll always love holding tight, She could overturn any frown. Those many kind friends here, Multitudes who have passed, Repeating love found in fun, Living the love they amassed. What other gems could I need, When love was such a full part, I don’t think I could love more, The life felt touching my heart. Dec-6-2012 by Quilled_Penman©Glen King © 2013 Quilled_Penman |
