Lonely Raindrop

A lonely raindrop falls endlessly,

toward a-parch drying soil.

Graciously provokes relentlessly,

birthing breath-of-life toil.

Ingenious weeping creation,

answered one plants tiring prayer.

Innocence duly kissed lightly,

earth anew wet enveloping layer.

Lands desolate flesh tingles,

under thunderous lightning might.

Delicate tearing arrivals change,

gushing rapidly droplets unite.

Meadows reveal sparse wildflowers,

among vast rows of grass.

Dauntless animals and birds gather,

bantering a spirited splash.

Cheery birds joyously sing,

Compelling a peaceful calm lull.

A lonely raindrop falls earthly,

keeping my heart’s chalice full.
