Derick's Side

Derick's Side

A Chapter by Weaza

                          2.Derick

I left Kathlene in her room after I ingected her with the needle, so she could calm down. I am glad I took her in. She is such a beautiful girl, and very resourceful. I could use her for my buisness and to demolish vampire clans that despise my line of work not just engines and tires, but more extreme work. I still think about that day exactly two weeks and ten mintutes from now.

I was in my limo' to go home, then my driver Kyle, also my human brother, said that there is people in the ally. I didn't care...Until the very faint smell of blood, very, very sweet, rich blood. The aroma started to get large then I found myself worried. I demanded Kyle to pull over to the utterly putrid ally. Then I see a scragily, wrinkled, vampire attacking and trying to tear a weak, pale, girl apart. For an old reason my cold blood starts to boil with rage. So I jump. I open my eyes, dazed of what just happened. I see the girl holding my head in her lap, and her salty tears drip on my face. I said "You pathetic girl, you shouldn't be in an ally alone!", she pushed my head off her lap and into a cold puddle. I struggle to not too laugh at her, seeing her trying to stand on her own. She falls and lies there limp. I stand over her and say " Where is your home?". No answer. "Do you have a home?"...No answer. She started breathing slowly and she didn't move. I felt pity and ashamed of taking a human girl too my home. I took her too my home and made my maids' make a room up for her. I dropped her on the bed and have been seeing her since.

I lie on my bed now, thinking of her hair, her hazel eyes changing to fiery red. I can't believe I am interested by a half-mortal, half-vampire girl. I think of the lonesome girl... Should she be labeled a girl...a woman? I am not postive...for now...she is my girl. I walk to my bathroom and look at myself. Hmm...color-changing eyes, my scraggily brown-black hair all ruffled-up and of course my six foot-six inch height. I chuckle at myself and see my pure white smile. I wonder what she she thinks of me...Only once or twice had she come to me in my mind as a lolita...only when her eyes locked with mine and they were burning red, I know that she saw the thoughts because both times her face grew as red as her eyes and her fangs extended.  Ah...Kathlene...my girl, I think while I lie back on my silk bed.
