"

Ballroom music playing soft,

Women's dresses spinning around,

Everyone from far and wide,

Came to this Masquerade,

My midnight mask you see,

Has black, deep violet and gold threads that line,

Along the crescents of my eyes,

My dress of black silk,

Outlined with deep violet thread you see,

Other masks are plain or wild,

My Midnight Mask will not follow,

Its beauty and mystique show no flaws,

But beneath the mask is a mystery,

The dark dim lights hide the shadows that wonder across the walls,

But the people themselves stand without a word,

My Midnight Mask,

Dark and Bleak,

Show the power I wish to seek,

The hunger for power and control wash over my eyes,

Now as dark as black itself,

I stand in the middle of the masquerade,

Listening to the "Ohs" and "Awe's",

Simple minded followers,

Don't see anything else but the beauty of the mask and myself,

Diamond pins glisten in the dim light on my hair,

My dark dress is around me in the deep colors,

Everyone wants the black, the gold, the violet,

The power..,

My mask is most of the beauty,

But with that beauty of this sacred mask,

Holds deep power I wish of this masquerade,

This is the might of the,

Midnight Mask
