I miss you

 I remember,

old photo albums,

with you and me,

You were getting sick,

But I was still young,

And didn't know,

What has become,

The sickness grew stronger,

As you grew older,

At school,

My last day,

When it was time to go home,

My Aunt picked me up,

I was confused,

because I take the bus,

To your house to laugh and talk with you,

We sat quietly,

Not knowing what to say,

So I went to sleep,

To wake up crying,

When she told me,

You had passed away...

To my grandfather,

Cancer is cruel I wish I knew then,

Why you had gotten tired so quickly?,

Why you had stopped playing with us?,

But know you can live,

Of course I miss you,

More than I show,

And more than you know,

I miss you.

I'm so sorry about your Grandpas death, you used such great words to describe it and how you felt. It made me cry also because I've lost over 20 people in my life and my grandpa and uncle to cancer.
It's tough watching a loved one go through pain like that.
I hope you know that he's in a better place and is still here with you in spirit watching over your family.

I'm so sorry about your Grandfather's passing. It seems as though you two were very close. So many are lost to cancer these days. Almost everyone is affected by it. As if the world wasn't cruel enough...*sigh*

Well about the poem.... It really hurt reading. I kept thinking of the people I've to the killer. You really just explained the whole idea of death and sadness so clearly. Very raw, but extremely meaningful. Great read!
